Wayne Rooney in £4.3m court win
WAYNE ROONEY spoke of his relief last night after claiming victory in a legal battle over a £4.3million slice of his fortune.
The England and Manchester United star, 26, insisted justice had been done after defeating a bid by his former agents to grab the cash.
Three Appeal Court judges ruled sports management firm Proactive was not entitled to the money. It faces a bill for costs estimated at £500,000.
The judges agreed the image rights contract Rooney signed at 17 was “unenforceable”. The deal also included wife Coleen, 25.
