Stampede girl Nabila Nanfuka’s crush death
A GIRL student killed in a stampede at a nightclub died of “crush” injuries, an inquest heard yesterday.
Nabila Nanfuka, 22, suffered traumatic crush asphyxia when revellers surged towards the exits after being told coaches to take people home were “about to leave”.
Two other young women were hurt in the tragedy involving hundreds of clubbers at Lava & Ignite in Northampton last week.
One, aged 19, is still in a “critical” condition in hospital.
A 21-year-old was released after treatment. Nabila, a tourism student from Neasden, north London, joined hundreds of others for an event called “Wickedest Wickedest”.

Adjourning the Kettering inquest into her death, coroner Anne Pember urged witnesses to contact police or surrender any relevant mobile phone footage.
