With a glint in her eye, the Duchess of Cornwall yesterday had a henna tattoo painted on her right finger in Fez, Morocco. “This is going to look good for the wedding,” she said with a nervous laugh as Mina Amari, 32, carried out the floral design.

“Ah,” said the Duchess, 63, when told the tattoo might last until Prince William and Kate Middleton marry on April 29. But she went ahead anyway. Shopping separately, Prince Charles was worrying about Camilla. “I hope my wife hasn’t seen the jewellery,” he said. If only he knew.
