An offer prince William had to refuse
LOVESTRUCK Tiana O’Brien holds up a pink painted sign yesterday pleading with Prince William: “I’ll be your princess.”
But 28-year-old William turned down the pretty 17-year-old’s marriage proposal, telling her: “Sorry, you’re too late.”
With just weeks to the royal wedding on April 29, the blonde teenager was determined to make one last bid to snatch the future king from fiancee Kate Middleton, 29. And she joked: “I won’t give up until he has got a ring on her finger.”

Tiana greeted the prince during a visit to the town of Kerang, which was cut off by floods that swept through Australia’s state of Victoria in January. It was one of William’s last stops before he flew home last night at the end of a tour of areas in New Zealand and Australia devastated by recent natural disasters. A royal aide said William was “emotionally raw” after the week-long tour.
The courtier added: “His message to everyone he met was, basically, ‘I wanted to let you know you’ve not been forgotten about’.”
