Firefighters are tackling a huge blaze at a Scottish harbour. Huge plumes of smoke can be seen rising into the sky in pictures shared after the fire erupted on Tuesday.

Pictures taken at the scene show a massive cloud of smoke above the flames. Another shot captures a fire engine with a hose attached to the vehicle running towards firefighters.

The smoke can also be seen above a row of residential houses close to the harbour area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.50am on Tuesday, 9 June, 2026, we received a report of a fire at Arbroath Harbour.

"The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire."
