ROYAL Mail last night announced 7,000 extra postal rounds this weekend in a bid to get cards and presents delivered in time for Christmas.
Many people who ordered gifts online are waiting anxiously for them to arrive. A backlog of four million parcels has built up as private carriers struggle to catch up after the last big freeze.
