A picturesque seaside town just an hour from Liverpool has been named amongst Britain's best for food and drink. Lytham St Annes received acclaim as "a jewel of the North West coast" from consumer watchdog Which?. The resort secured its place among 28 seaside locations awarded five stars for food and beverage offerings in Which?'s annual assessment.
It gained particular attention in a follow-up feature highlighting the nation's top performers. Situated less than 20 minutes by road from Blackpool, the destination remains easily reachable from Liverpool at just one hour and nine minutes via car, according to Google Maps. Rail connections also serve Lytham St Annes. Visitors can anticipate "ambitious, independent restaurants and cafes" alongside more conventional waterfront dining venues, Which? noted.

On the other end of the scale, Bognor Regis was named the worst-rated seaside town by Which?, receiving a dismal one-star rating across categories including seafront, food and drink, tourist attractions, scenery, and shopping.
