£100 for a lie-in
Nearly half of all workers would pay more than £100 to spend the day in bed.
Forty-five per cent of full-time workers say they would fork out and 36 per cent admit “throwing a sickie” for a day in bed.
Those aged 16 to 24 are worst. Nearly six in 10 admit lying to avoid work.
People aged 55 and over are least likely to do so.
Jessica Brown, of the Sleep Council which polled 1,000 workers, said: “A luxurious day in bed is considered a great treat.”
