The popular UK show has become one of the most widely watched programmes in Britain.

There’s no denying reality TV offers an astonishing opportunity for a person to be plucked from obscurity and dropped into the world of global fame and fortune. One such show is Britain’s Got Talent (BGT), which has firmly cemented itself on UK TV screens, gaining an army of fans since its inception back in 2007.
From dancers to singers and even magicians, the ITV talent show has also gone on to launch many lucrative careers for people whose lives changed seemingly overnight. This life-changing moment has also nicely impacted their net worth, with the biggest success story boasting of having a net worth higher than Lewis Capaldi, who is worth an estimated £30.4m.

Here we run through some of the show's most successful contestants.
Diversity
A win for dance group Diversity in Britain's Got Talent 2009 forever changed the lives of all of its members. Their highly energetic and dynamic choreography blew the judges away. Fronted by Ashley Banjo, the group have performed extensively and went on to accumulate their wealth through various ventures, including television appearances, hosting radio shows and running their own dance studio.

Paul Potts
BGT’s first-ever winner, Paul Potts has come a long way since his 2007 TV appearance and today has a net worth of around £8 million.
Potts was the ultimate success story, going from being a former mobile phone salesman to becoming a chart-topping artist with his album, One Chance, performing impressively globally. Money aside, Potts also reached the pinnacle of success after his life story was made into a film adaptation starring James Corden.
Despite his notable success and wealth, Potts remains much like he was before the glory and lives in Port Talbot, Wales, in a modest £450,000 home.
Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle burst onto UK TV screens back in 2009 and has gone on to become the show's richest star. Boasting an impressive net worth of around £31 million, the Scottish star has released an array of successful albums, an autobiography and appeared in several shows and documentaries.
Despite her eye-watering wealth she has accumulated over the years, Susan still today lives a modest lifestyle, similar to that of Potts.
The global success still stays in her childhood council home in West Lothian, Scotland, and previously admitted that she’s “not a big spender”.
