The bakery chain is serving up a range of 22ct gold-plated jewellery in time for the 40th anniversary of London Fashion Week.

Its five Baked in Gold accessories designed by artist Dion Kitson go on sale on Friday.

Greggs’ iconic sausage rolls are depicted as stud earrings – and you can buy the vegan treat version too, at £36 a pair.

A jammy heart locket necklace retails at £45, while a signet ring featuring the Greggs logo will set you back a round £48.

If you can’t choose a favourite, the £96 Greggs Icons Charm Bracelet has 10 mini classics including a steak bake, pink jammie, pizza slice and even a coffee cup.

The jewellery line comes two years after the Newcastle-based takeaway giant teamed up with Primark to put its logo on T-shirts and hoodies.

Dion said: “When Greggs asked me to turn their most iconic menu items into jewellery, it made sense, it’s right up my street — sausage roll stud earrings and pink jammie doughnut charms? It’s about having fun with something we know and love in the UK.”

Hannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, said: “We’re always looking for ways that help Greggs customers share their love for the brand, and the launch of Baked in Gold is another fun way to deliver this.

“We’re excited to be teaming up with Dion as we step into the world of jewellery.”

A link to buy Baked in Gold items will be posted on Greggs’ social media channels on Friday.
