'Human organs' found in container at park in grisly find as police launch probe

The organs will be forensically examined to determine where they come from and how they ended up in the park.

Police are investigating after a horrified member of the public found a box containing what may be human organs in a park in south London.

The container was found in Rosehill Park, Sutton at about 4.30pm yesterday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 16:30hrs on Wednesday, 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton containing what was described as human or animal organs inside.

“The container has been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.

“A scene remains in place at the location and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
