The underrated UK city named best place to buy property in 2024
Birmingham is "one of the best places to invest in 2024 due to the sheer amount of regeneration, demand and growth it is forecasting", according to one property investor.
It was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and the home of the Peaky Blinders but now Birmingham is attracting attention for another reason. The UK's second city has been named among the best places to buy property in 2024.
With its bustling city centre, pretty parks and good transport links, Birmingham has a lot to offer.
The West Midlands city - which famously boasts more canals than Venice - has been praised by development company Joseph Mews, as a top investment area.
The firm said: "Birmingham remains one of the best places to invest in 2024 due to the sheer amount of regeneration, demand and growth it is forecasting."

"Birmingham is forecasting price rises of 19.2 percent by 2027.
"Average rents in Birmingham have risen by a huge 9.2 percent over the past year alone according to Zoopla, demonstrating just how swift price growth is occurring in the UK's second city."
The firm lists Digbeth, Hockley and Edgbaston among Birmingham's best suburbs to invest in.

They added: "Other aspects causing prices in Birmingham to increase are a rising population forecast to hit 1.24 million by 2030.
"Tenant demand from young professionals leaving London for Birmingham’s affordability and a 41 Percent graduate retention rate bringing in new young professionals seeking rental accommodation.
"Aside from the world-class links from Grand Central and Birmingham International Airport, the second city will also soon be a major hub for HS2 towards London."
Other cities listed by Joseph Mews include Derby, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
