YOUNG Henry Hicks – carried by his grandfather, Tony Skinner, right – joins the comrades of his father who was killed by a Taliban bomb in Afghanistan. Henry, aged three, joined 650 soldiers yesterday from the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards for a remembrance service in London for their seven fallen colleagues.
Henry’s mother Katie Hicks, 30, lost her husband Lance Corporal Darren Hicks, 29, from Mousehole in Cornwall, in February. She said: “It was very special for us to be here. It is good to recognise what our soldiers are doing.”
