Missing girl, 15, last seen at train station in pink tracksuit found safe and well
A 15-year-old who not been heard from since Monday has been found safe and well, police said.
A missing teenage girl who vanished after last being sighted at a train station has been found safe and well.
Lucia Surtees was reported missing from North Shields, Tyneside, on Monday evening. However, the 15-year-old had not been heard from since and police grew concerned for her welfare.
CCTV last showed the teenager at St James' Park metro station in Newcastle at around 6.07pm on Monday.
A statement from Northumbria Police said at the time: "Lucia is described as being a white female, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with shoulder-length mousey blonde hair.
"She is understood to be wearing a baby pink Juicy Couture tracksuit top and bottoms with black Converse style trainers – as well as carrying a light coloured cross body bag with a black strap and black trim.
"Officers have since confirmed through CCTV footage that she was sighted leaving St James’ Park Metro Station in Newcastle city centre at around 6.07pm yesterday (Monday). Lucia has links to the Newcastle, North Tyneside and Sunderland areas."
