Nando's announces new addition to menu that leaves fans salivating
Instagram video from the popular restaurant chain shows glimpse of tasty meal that goes live on June 6, accompanied by a clue to its identity
The popular restaurant chain Nando's has announced a major newcomer to its menu, one which has been much in demand — yet one that it still won't quite confirm.
Yesterday it posted a cryptic message in a video on Instagram, teasing followers with an animation of four chillies that then give a glimpse of some tasty looking food. A caption under the animation contained just one word — "loading" — which itself appeared to be a clue.
Alongside the video in the comments section, it posted a Wordle-style clue: F_ _ l _ L _ _ _ ed C _ _ _ _
It didn't take fans long to decipher what the tempting addition, which Nando's stated would be revealed on Tuesday, June 6, could actually be: Fully Loaded Chips.

One early fan wrote: "Gotta be a fully loaded chips," with another adding: "This is gonna be the best day ever."
In various TikTok videos, "fully loaded chips" appears to be a plate piled high with chips, chicken and sauces. Although not confirmed, the ingredients could include fries, Nando's chicken, halloumi and a piri piri mayo.
The post attracted a number of comments welcoming the news but also garnered requests and complaints about the menu.
One person begged: "Bring back the Caesar salad." Another wanted the "fiesta fries on the menu that you do in South Africa". A third requested "creamy salad dressing please".
Nando's also posted the cryptic announcement on Twitter, where again Nando afficionados demanded the return of much-loved menu items, including Red Pepper Dip, Mango and Lime and Carrot Cake.
One person tweeted their own cryptic clue in protest at the apparent resistance of a much-missed favourite: "C r _ _ m _ S _ l _ d D r _ s _ i n _ " — creamy salad dressing — followed by the demand: "Give the people what they really want ffs."
