Friends’ colourful farewell to Natasha
DEVASTATED classmates of teenager Natasha Paton will pay their final tributes to her today by wearing brightly coloured clothes at her funeral.
Natasha was killed last week when a coach carrying Lanark Grammar pupils on a trip to Alton Towers came off the road and plunged into a river in a snow storm.
Natasha will be cremated at a private ceremony in Holytown, Motherwell later today.
Her family has requested that people attending the funeral service wear colourful clothes to make it a celebration of her life.
In a separate event in Lanark, around 800 teenagers will pay tribute to Natasha, with many wearing custom-made tops with “God only takes the best” written on them.
A woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car on Aberdeen’s Beach Boulevard. The pedestrian, in her 20s, was struck after 9pm on Monday.
The accident happened at the spot where Lisa-Marie Wyllie, 16, was killed five years ago by a police officer who sped through a red light.
