Bus fares in northern England to be capped at £2
A £2 CAP on bus fares comes into force in parts of northern England from next Sunday.
In Greater Manchester, unlimited journeys in a day will cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for children
The price limit is being launched in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire with Liverpool City Region starting one week later. The Department for Transport announced on Saturday a £2 trip cap will be in place across England between January and March.
In Greater Manchester, the charge for unlimited journeys in a day will be £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.
In West Yorkshire - including Leeds and Bradford - unlimited daily trips will be £4.50.
