M4 traffic hell as motorway CLOSED after horror crash - emergency services block lanes
A CRASH has closed part of the M4 in Wales this afternoon.
Traffic Wales tweeted an image of police closing the road after at least two vehicles were involved in a collision. It added that the westbound stretch of the motorway between junction 23 for Rogiet and junction 23A for Magor was closed.

The account said that traffic was being diverted off at junction 23A.
News of the crash came as motorists travelling along the motorway's westbound stretch in the southwest were also hit with long delays.
This came after a multi-vehicle collision between junction 19 for the M32/Hambrook and junction 20 for the M5.
Initially two lanes were closed as the emergency services worked to contain the scene.

National Highways initially tweeted: "If you're heading #M4 westbound, please be aware 2 lanes are closed following a multi vehicle collision between J19 (#M32/#Hambrook) and J20 (#M5).
"There is approx. 5 miles of congestion, please add an extra 30 minutes on to your journey time."
Just after 4pm it shared an update to say that all the lanes had reopened.
It said: "All lanes are now open on the #M4 westbound, following vehicle recovery work between J19 (#M32/#Hambrook) and J20 (#M5).

In Wales, an eastbound section of the motorway was also hit with delays.

The was also "congestion" on the road's eastbound stretch between junction 33 for CapelLlailltern and junction 32 for Coryton, Traffic Wales said.
