Police try to track down the mother of a baby found in Oxford
The newborn baby - who was believed to be only hours old - was discovered by a dog walker. The discovery was made at 5.40pm on 22 April in a park known locally as 'The Mound' in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The baby was then taken to a hospital to be checked over.
A West Midlands police spokesperson said he was "healthy and doing well".
He was given the name George by medical staff at the hospital, as he was found the day before St George's Day.
West Midlands police pursued at least 1,000 lines of inquiry before they successfully tracked down the baby's mother.
CCTV footage released by the force showed a woman walking along Shannon Road, nearby The Mound, just before 5.10pm on 22 April.
They appealed for that woman to come forward, believing she might have had "vital information about what happened".
The force also created a digital mockup of her face to help identify her.
West Midlands Police thanked the public and media for their help in locating the woman.
They described the response as "overwhelming", saying that it was "instrumental" in their search.

When they first began looking, they reassured the public that their main priority was to check that she was safe and supported.
A statement from the force said: "Sadly we've still not been able to find his mother.
"We're very concerned for her and want to check she is doing okay, both physically and mentally.
"Giving birth is a big thing and we're concerned she will need medical help."

Now she has been located, authorities are working to ensure she has the care she needs.
Officers have said no further action will be taken.
The force confirmed that George is "doing really well and is being well cared for".
They added: "This is a very upsetting case, we would ask you not to speculate any further, as this is deeply distressing for those concerned."
When he was found in the park, George was wrapped in a grey and white blanket and was dressed in grey leggings and an orange and white striped t-shirt with a dinosaur on it.
