CAPTAIN Sir Tom Moore gave his body to medical research and left his daughters £73,000, it has emerged.

The lockdown hero - whose garden walk raised £39million for the NHS - died in February aged 100. The decorated Second World War hero outlined his final wishes in a six-page document drawn up in June last year.
Official probate papers revealed his estate was split equally between Lucy Teixeira, 52, and Hannah Ingram-Moore, 50.
He wanted his body to be donated to science, in a poignant final act of helping others.

Last month, to celebrate what would have been his 101st birthday, the world was encouraged to embark on madcap fundraising drives based on the number 100.
Hannah said then: "If only he could have been here to see it - he would have felt so proud and so happy."
