Briton, 21 killed by boulder
AN experienced British climber died in the French Alps just days after achieving an upper second class degree.
Outdoor education graduate Lawrence Walker, 21, was with best friend Alex Green when he was hit by a boulder.
He suffered head and leg injuries in the accident at 13,000ft on the Ailefroide mountain.
Parents Richard, 41, and Janet Walker, 47, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, said: “We take comfort in the fact that he died doing exactly what he loved.”
