Top stars mourn tragic Carradine
HUNDREDS of mourners attended the funeral of actor David Carradine, 10 days after he was found dead in a Bangkok wardrobe.
Amid high security, some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Jane Seymour, Tom Selleck, and Daryl Hannah, arrived at the invitation- only service in Los Angeles.
Kill Bill star Carradine, 72, died with a cord around his neck.
But suicide or a sex game have not been confirmed by Thai police or private investigators probing the film star’s shock death. His naked body was found in his hotel room. A curtain cord was tied around his neck, hands, feet and groin.
The Kung Fu star was in Thailand filming his latest movie Stretch. The funeral was held at Forest Lawn, a Los Angeles cemetery, at the weekend which looks out on the city’s giant iconic Hollywood sign.
Music played included The Beatles’ Let It Be and Beethoven’s Requiem For A Fallen Hero.
Some 400 mourners – many dressed in cowboy gear – attended the service, which was timed to end at sunset. The order of service showed a smiling Carradine on the cover, and a sketch of him on the back above the lyrics to Midnight Rider by the Allman Brothers Band.
Carradine is survived by his fifth wife, Annie Bierman, and their four children.
