'Children are missing out' Yvette Fielding outraged over Blue Peter's move from BBC One
FORMER Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding admits she's extremely angry that bosses moved the much-loved children's show from BBC One to CBBC.
Yvette presented Blue Peter from 1987 to 1992
Calling for the reinstatement of the show to BBC One, Yvette says that not as many children will be able to watch Blue Peter because it's not as accessible as it used to be.
The show began in 1958, meaning that it's now the longest-running children's television programme in the world.
Yvette presented the show between 1987 and 1992, before it later transferred over to CBBC in December 2012.
"I am angry that it has been moved from BBC One to CBBC," Yvette explains in the new issue of Radio Times.

Yvette says it's a shame that Blue Peter is no longer on mainstream TV
The bubbly presenter continued: "It deserves to be on mainstream television, not on the digital channel.
"People seem to forget that it's not just a kids' show, it's a family show, and a generation of children and their parents are missing out because it's less accessible. It should be on BBC One, just before Pointless," she added.
Blue Peter aside, Yvette, who stars in the latest series of Celebrity Masterchef, also spoke out about being in charge of the kitchen at home.
"Yes. I try to be a little bit experimental, but that can go disastrously wrong. I just can’t keep my fingers out of the spice dish," the star told the magazine.

Yvette, 46, continued: "Concoctions can go either way. They can either be fantastic, or make my family run to the bin."
"I like my baked salmon, with watercress sauce, asparagus and garlic-crushed potatoes.
"The worst thing I’ve ever done was a vegetable pie. Don’t even ask," she finished up by saying.
Celebrity MasterChef is on Thursday 9pm and Friday 8.30pm BBC One.
