The Good Morning Britain presenter flashed her trim pins in a smart black dress, before she was spotted posing for pictures with Dora The Explorer.
Despite an undoubtedly early start, the 48-year-old looked to be enjoying spending some time with her daughter Darcey and son William.
Wearing her tresses down and straight, Kate looked stylish in a flared shift, which came complete with white detailing on the front.
She teamed the number with a matching cardigan before injecting some colour thanks to a fluorescent yellow pair of heels.

Kate was joined at the fun event by Gaby Roslin and Vic Reeves' wife Nancy Sorrell, who oddly chose navy bodycon for the bash.
Presenter Gaby, 50, was much more appropriately dressed in skinny jeans and a silver sequinned top, which she wore with heeled boots.
Earlier in the day, Kate did her bit for charity by helping her youngsters build a hideout as part of Save The Children's Den Day.

Tweeting a snap of the finished number, she told her followers: "OK so my daughter's bettered me on my #DenDay hideout! #centreparcs".
Meanwhile Kate recently joked she could be Price Harry's next love interest, during an interview on the daily ITV news show.
Kate suggested she could be a "cougar" for the 30-year-old after the royal revealed that he'd like to settle down and have children.
Hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard were joined on the sofa by royal reporter Camilla Tominey, who explained that he "quite likes buxom blondes."
