The self-titled show propelled the actress to fame beginning in 2009, and the star took to Twitter last night to say goodbye to her 'creative baby'.

Miranda's character tied the knot with heart-throb Gary, played by Tom Ellis, in the final episode of the TV show.
The pair were reunited after a cliffhanger ending to the penultimate episode, where Gary stormed out after Miranda doubted his commitment to her.

Actor Tom Ellis tweeted: "Wow. What an amazing response to the final Miranda. Thank you to everyone who has watched over the past 5 years. It has been truly special."

The first episode of the third series was the most-watched television programme at Christmas in 2012 and many fans are now questioning what will replace the show.
