Spotted for the first time in his role as the famous emperor, the star looked every bit the ancient Roman in his full armour.
Complete with a Caesar haircut to match, the 53-year-old rocked the gladiator look for upcoming film Hail, Caesar!
George donned a full brown leather body armour and cuffs, both of which were studded with gold, worn over a white and red tunic.

Carrying an ornate golden sword, the actor even made knee high, strappy gladiator sandals look manly.
The Oceans Eleven star looked rather fond of the new get up, as he joked around on set with the crew.
Hail, Caesar! is the eight film from brothers Joel and Ethan Cohen, who are known for their work on True Grit and No Country For Old Men.
According to Variety, the movie began filming in early November with a star-studded cast including Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes.

Hail, Caesar! is due for release in the USA on February 5 2016.
Before then, George is due to appear in the Downton Abbey Text Santa charity special on December 19.
The newlywed star will play a US wedding guest at the Crawley house in the fund-raising episode.
