Prince honoured at Scottish Music Awards
Pop superstar PRINCE was among the winners at the Scottish Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday night (29Nov14).
The Purple Rain hitmaker landed the SSE Hydro Act of the Year Award during the ceremony at the Old Fruitmarket held in conjunction with the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity.
Other prizes went to rockers Idlewild, who won the King Tuts Songwriting Award, veteran session musician Steve Forman, who picked up the Sir Reo Stakis Living Legend Award, and Jimmy Somerville, who claimed the Special Recognition Award in honour of his contribution to Scottish music.
The ceremony featured a charity auction and performances from Idlewild and Neon Jungle.
