Chris O'Dowd jokes he's going to film Dawn O'Porter's birth in 3D
FATHER-to-be Chris O'Dowd has joked that he is set to film the birth of his first child - in 3D.
The funny man, who is expecting his first child with wife Dawn O'Porter later this year, revealed his plans on Good Morning Britain during an interview with Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins.
Responding to the news that Robbie Williams had keeps fans up to date on wife Ayda's labour through the night, he said: "We're going to do a similar thing but we're going to shoot the whole thing in 3D because when the baby is crying I want people to feel like it's really coming at you."
He’d previously teased Ben Shephard about the delivery date, saying: “It’s unfortunate because I’ve scheduled a golfing holiday that week - it’s just I can’t get the deposit back on it now.”
The actor and his journalist wife announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this year after debuting Dawn's baby bhp in their joint ALS Ice bucket Challenge video.
Upon completing the challenge, which involves pouring a bucket of freezing cold water over his head to raise awareness and funds for motor neurone disease, the Irish star said: "I'd like to nominate Richard Ayoade, Graham Linehan and Baby O'Porter. So brave."
He then panned the camera over to TV presenter Dawn, who shrieked as she poured a small glass of ice cubes and water over her baby bump.
Shortly after Chris posted the footage, he acknowledged the happy news on Twitter, writing: "Thought we'd better mention it, before I got O'Busted!"
The pair married in a low-key ceremony in June 2012.
