Alex Jones and Katherine Jenkins wow in black at Bafta Cymru Awards
WELSH beauties Alex Jones and Katherine Jenkins made sure all eyes were on them as they attended the Bafta Cymru Awards yesterday evening.
The pretty ladies both turned heads as they arrived on the red carpet last night wearing glamorous black gowns.
Alex, 37, looked stunning in a floor-length number which featured a shiny, scale-print mini dress and a sheer skirt.
The One Show presenter teamed the sleeveless garment with a pair of gold strappy heels and a glowing tan as she posed with both hands on her hips.
Alex completed her look with dark red nails and wore her mousy brown hair down in a loose wave.
She was closely followed by Katherine, who also chose to stun in a stand out black gown.
The newlywed braved the cold in her strapless number which featured all over sequins and accentuated her hourglass frame.
The mezzo-soprano teamed her dress with statement diamond earrings and bright lipstick as she took shelter under an umbrella whilst greeting fans in the rain.
The 34-year-old, who recently married US star Andrew Levitas, opened the awards by singing a song from her new album, and also presented the award for best actor.
Katherine admitted that she always felt a "bit more pressure" performing to her home crowd in Wales, but was delighted to be back.
This year saw 28 programme, craft and performance categories recognised in total.
Among those was Cardiff-born BBC journalist Jeremy Bowen who won the Sian Phillips Award for his reporting from war zones, and Tom Riley who won best actor for his Da Vinci's Demons lead role.
