Where's Melanie? Antonio Banderas attends Autómata photocall without estranged wife
THEY may have filmed Autómata when they were still together, but now Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are promoting the film very much alone.
Antonio, 54, attended the 62nd San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain yesterday where he attended a photocall for the upcoming movie without his estranged wife.
Looking rather dapper in a blue blazer which he teamed with a white button-up top and blue jeans, Antonio showed no signs of heartbreak as he cosied up to a female robot in the sunshine.
In the sci-fi thriller, he plays an insurance agent of ROC robotics corporation who routinely investigates the case of a robot apparently modifying itself, in direct violation of its cognitive rules.
Melanie, 57, plays the role of Dra. Dupre but seeing as her estranged husband is the main star of the film, it is unlikely that she will do any press for the movie.
She is currently in the US and was spotted spending time with her daughter Stella over the weekend, while Antonio continued working.
The pair announced their split in June after 18 years of marriage, but their divorce is yet to be finalised.
It was believed that the break-up was amicable, but Melanie may not be so pleased to hear that her ex has apparently moved on already.
Earlier this month it was reported that Antonio was back on the dating scene again after he was spotted courting a young blonde - who has now been identified as Dutch investment consultant Nicole Kimpel.
