'I can't wait to get started' James Corden confirms he's new host of The Late Late Show
ACTOR and comedian James Corden will soon be moving to the States after landing the role as new host of The Late Late Show.
The 36-year-old star confirmed the news today and is clearly looking forward to getting started on the popular US show.
The CBS network announced he will take over next year from Scottish star Craig Ferguson, who has been in the hot seat for the programme since 2005.
"I can't describe how thrilled and honoured I am to be taking over from the brilliant Craig Ferguson," Corden said.
"To be asked to host such a prestigious show on America's number one network is hugely exciting. I can't wait to get started, and will do my very best to make a show America will enjoy."

Corden, who is best-known as the co-writer and star of hit TV show Gavin and Stacey, stepped down as host of the BRIT Awards this year but his presence in the US has been growing steadily over the past couple of years.
This was boosted when he won a Tony Award in 2012 for best leading actor in a play for his starring role in One Man Two Guvnors, which transferred to New York from the West End.
He also recently appeared alongside Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo in the film Begin Again, and he will soon be seen in a big-screen version of Broadway musical Into the Woods, which also stars Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp.
