Robert Redford taking his film festival to Hong Kong
Hollywood veteran ROBERT REDFORD is launching his Sundance Film Festival in Hong Kong.
The actor/director's movie event takes place annually in Utah, and he expanded it internationally by taking it to London in 2012.
He is now focusing on China and has announced plans to stage a small version of the festival in Hong Kong next month (Sep14).
The Sundance Film Festival - Hong Kong Selects will run from 19-28 September (14) and feature movies include Kristen Wiig's The Skeleton Twins and Life After Beth starring John C. Reilly.
The news comes just days after Chinese authorities shut down the Beijing Independent Film Festival shortly before it was due to kick off. The event was cancelled and no explanation was given.
