Daredevil Tom Cruise hangs from the Vienna Opera House for Mission: Impossible 5 shoot
HE'S NOTORIOUS for having a penchant for doing his own high-octane stunts.
And now Tom Cruise can add dangling on a rope from the roof of Austria's iconic Vienna Opera House to his acting CV.
The 52-year-old actor was seen practising the tricky stunt while filming scenes for Mission: Impossible 5 on Friday afternoon.
Despite being in a harness,Tom, who is set to reprise his role as IMF agent Ethan Hunt in the action franchise, still looked suave in a black suit which he wore with a white shirt.
Locals were left gobsmacked the day earlier when Tom Cruise, his British co-star Simon Pegg and director Christopher McQuarrie, along with a small crew were spotted working on the blockbuster follow-up at Vienna's Metro.
Shooting for the latest in the popular series of the action thriller will wrap up in Vienna before heading to the UK for further filming.
Almost two decades after landing the coveted lead role, Cruise will be also producing the movie along with J.J Abrams and Bryan Burke.
Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames will return as William Brandt and Luther Stickell, respectively.
The new movie is hoping to surpass the success of the last film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which was released in 2011 and has become the highest-grossing Mission: Impossible movie to date.
Mission: Impossible 5 is set for release in cinemas on December 26 2015.
