The Royal Family are set to step out together for one of the biggest events in the royal calender on Saturday - Trooping the Colour. The historic event, which takes place in London every year to mark the monarch’s official birthday, will take place on June 13.

The royals will take part in the occasion, with some riding horseback and others in the procession. The rehearsal, which took place on May 30, featured around 1,000 soldiers and 200 horses from the Household Division and King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, on parade in their full ceremonial dress.

After the parade, the royals will head over to Buckingham Palace and will step out on the balcony, witnessed by eager spectators below - but who can we expect to see this weekend?

List of royals set to appear on the balcony for the 2026 Trooping the Colour

  • King Charles
  • Queen Camilla
  • The Prince and Princess of Wales
  • Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
  • The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh
  • Princess Anne
  • Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence
  • The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester
  • The Duke of Kent

Royals who might attend:

  • James, Earl of Wessex
  • Lady Louise Windsor

King Charles will be making an appearance alongside his wife, Queen Camilla.

Prince William and Princess Catherine and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are also expected to appear on the balcony.

Princess Anne will also make an appearance on the balcony, as well as her husband Sir Timothy Laurence.

Making up two of the most popular royals, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie are also expected to join the King and Queen.

It is not yet known if their two children, Lady Louise and James Wessex, will join them. But as James attended Peter Phillips' wedding to Harriet Sperling on Saturday, there is an expectation he will attend this year.

Last year, the King was also joined by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent.

The line-up for the Trooping the Colour has remained the same since 2023, the King's first as monarch.

The previous year, in 2022, the late Queen was pictured on the balcony, as well as Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex.
