Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor given savage 3-word nickname
The former Duke and Duchess of York were given a brutal nickname by a royal author.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were dubbed the “Bonnie and Clyde” of the Royal Family following their latest fall from grace. The former Duke and Duchess of York were married from 1986 until 1996.
But they kept a close relationship and lived together at Royal Lodge in Windsor from 2008 until early this year, when they were forced to move out due to their scandalous links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. In 2015, when speaking to USA Today, Fergie, as she is also known, famously said that she and Andrew are “the happiest divorced couple in the world”.
She said: “Andrew and I, we're the happiest divorced couple in the world – extraordinary, really, isn't it.

“We live in the same house, but then, it's a big house, so that's ok. But I think it's really good that we believe in compromise and communication and compassion. And family.”
But now a royal author dismissed her claims and said they are more than “Bonnie and Clyde”.
Andrew Lownie, who wrote Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, told Fox News: “The reason that they’ve stayed together is a professional business relationship. I describe them as Bonnie and Clyde. He was her calling card for money, and I think maybe he had a sentimental loyalty to her.
“She, of course, was one of the last people to remain loyal to him and supportive of him. And I think he felt grateful for that.”
Mr Lownie added: “He’s sort of a playboy, but he also likes the comfort of being a married man with a family.

“And so, he got the best of both worlds — at least the impression that they were a happy family while still being totally independent.”
In 2024, Ms Ferguson gave an interview to The Times, and spoke about how she “will never let Andrew down”.
She told the newspaper: “I was totally and utterly in love with Andrew. I would do it all over again, 100%. He’s the best, a great man with a great heart, and kind. Our wedding was the best day of my life. But I gave up my anonymity that day. I was able to because love conquers all. It’s still with us today.
“I won’t let him down. He supports me as much as I support him. He’s supported me through thick and thin, not just marriage or divorce.
“We agree on the three Cs — communication, compromise, compassion.”
Both Andrew and Fergie have now been banished into humiliation, with Andrew living in the Sandringham Estate and Fergie's whereabouts officially unknown.
The former Duke has always denied any wrongdoing.
