Disgraced former couple Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson will join members of the Royal Family to celebrate their youngest grandchild tomorrow. On December 12, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have invited friends and family to the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace for the christening of their daughter, Athena Mapelli Mozzi.

It is understood that senior members of the Royal Family, including the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales have been invited but are not expected to attend. As it is a private event no guest list has been released, but Beatrice’s immediate family, including her sister, Princess Eugenie, and parents will be there to celebrate young Athena.

No photos are expected to be released as it’s a private family occasion.

It will mark the first event Andrew and Fergie have attended a royal event since the King stripped his younger brother of his princely titles and remaining royal honours.

The last time they were seen in public was on September 16, when they attended the Duchess of Kent’s funeral at Westminster Cathedral.

The pair have also agreed to move out of their lavish 30-room mansion, Royal Lodge.

Andrew is due to vacate the property early next year, and move to a small property on the King’s private Sandringham estate.

It is not known where Fergie will move to, but she will not follow her ex-husband to Norfolk.

Athena was born prematurely in January, and is a younger sister to Sienna, four, and Edo’s son from a previous relationship, Christopher Wolf (Wolfie), nine.

The family of five were spotted celebrating the Lionesses’ Euro 2025 win in July, where they joined thousands of fans for the victory parade in London on the Mall.
