Prince Andrew enjoyed a family day out with his grandchildren just days after he was further engulfed in Jeffrey Epstein's scandal through his former wife, Sarah Ferguson and shortly before the Princess of Wales took her own family to the same spot. The Duke of York took some of his grandchildren to the Harry Potter set earlier this month and enjoyed some quality time with them.

The forthcoming series of the popular books and films has set up the Hogsmeade Station in Windsor Great Park, which is close to where the Duke lives at Royal Lodge. According to the Daily Mail, staff on the set were "stunned" to see the royal who walked around the premises and even took his grandchildren to see the Hogwarts Express.

A source told the outlet: "It was all a bit strange that he turned up but it was lovely to see the children having a great time."

They continued: "They were busy looking at the Hogwarts Express and it genuinely seemed like a magical time for them."

The Duke has four grandchildren: August and Ernest Brooksbank through his daughter, Princess Eugenie, and Sienna and Athena Mapelli-Mozzi by his eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice. He is also the step-grandfather of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's son from a previous relationship, Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi.

Princess Kate took her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to the same place twice last week.

The first time, the Waleses visited the set, which is set to replicate the Scottish Highlands as per JK Rowling's vision, and then they visited the set again on Friday, where they met up with the cast.

The news comes just a few days after Sarah Ferguson's bombshell regarding Jeffrey Epstein.

Sarah, Duchess of York was found to have kept in contact with the convicted paedophile, even after publicly disowning him in 2011.

In emails which saw the spotlight, Fergie "humbly" apologised to her "supreme friend" for publicly ousting him.

The Duchess's spokesperson said she was "taken in by his lies" and sent the email only to avoid the threat of defamation.
