Meghan Markle has been joined by viral beauty brand Kitsch's founder Cassandra Morales Thurswell on the latest episode of her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder. The latest episode marks the seventh episode of Meghan's series, with the new episode seeing the pair discuss "how grit, intentional design and a scrappy mindset were essential in transforming a humble start into a thriving global business".

The 43-year-old's podcast launched back on April 8, with a brand-new episode released every Tuesday. Meghan, who refers to Cassandra as 'Cassie', recalls how she first met her in 2009 - prior to her acting days on US drama Suits.

Speaking to her guest, Meghan revealed how she likes to "show up for people" - with this gesture extending over to her business, As Ever.

The Duchess of Sussex, who officially launched As Ever in March, has sent baskets of products from her brand - including her homemade strawberry jam - from people that she knows ranging from friends to influencers.

Meghan told Cassandra: "Also down to the core of what you have always liked doing, so you look at the evolution of that and for me, I have been making perserves, I've been giving fruit baskets, I've loved to garden. Before I had a house and a garden like this, in my bungalow, I had a lemon tree.

Cassandra "bootstrapped" her business with $30,000 [£22,428] of her life savings. The brand is now worth $87million [£65,041,635].

Meghan said that she met Cassandra when she was auditioning for Suits - after she asked a friend called Heather for some style tips.

Heather - whose surname was not given - then introduced her to her cousin, who is Cassie, who came to Meghan's home and helped her with her clothing choices.
