Royal Family RECAP:Prince Harry and Meghan Markle break cover to visit LA wildfire victims
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Pasadena wildfire victims in California, as the wildfires continue to sweep through the region.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena, California, to help distribute food and supplies to victims of the California wildfires.
On January 10, the couple were pictured on site, thanking first responders including Los Angeles County firefighters and police, and were pictured with the Pasadena Mayor, Victor Gordo.
The Mayor told Fox 11 News: "It’s great people, great personalities and great heart for them to come out here and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who were affected. It’s very important."
He added that Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, "really buoyed the spirits of the first responders".
The wildfires in Southern California, have tragically claimed the lives of eleven people. Law enforcement officials expect the death toll to rise once weather and fire conditions allow dogs and detectives into the burn zones.
Harry and Meghan previously issued a statement and urgent plea for help on their website: "In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life."
The couple, who live in Montecito, California, also posted a series of links on their Sussex.com website to various charities people can help with, and urged people to "open their homes" to those evacuated.

Prince Harry shows 'royal role' during latest public appearance
Prince Harry appears to have “fallen” back into his royal role during his latest public appearance as he embraces victims of the ongoing Californian wildfires.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, may have quit life as a full-time working royal five years ago, however some of the mannerisms he had in that role seem to not have left him.
Expert Judi James exclusively told Express.co.uk: “It looks as though he has fallen into the kind of royal role he would have played after tragedies or disasters in the UK, where this kind of photo opportunity would have been seen as a way of boosting morale and ensuring attention."

What Meghan Markle will do if her cooking show does not perform well
Meghan Markle is set to dominate headlines next week as her new cooking and lifestyle show “With Love, Meghan” is set to air.
The series, which will consist of eight episodes, will be released on Netflix on January 15, with Meghan as the star of the show.
PR expert Edward Coram-James, CEO of Go Up, has said he thinks the Duchess of Sussex "will be fine" even if the show does not perform as well as hoped, as it happened with Harry’s Polo series released last month. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex will simply "shift gears" and carry on with her work should her new project fail, the commentator believes.
Ed exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Honestly, I think Meghan’s going to be just fine, regardless of how 'With Love, Meghan' performs.
“We have to remember that she’s not someone who’s betting everything on a single project. She’s got a tonne of experience in the public eye, and it’s clear she’s learned how to roll with the punches.”

Queen Elizabeth II was apparently not happy about her nickname being used
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took royal fans by surprise in 2021 when they decided to name their newborn daughter after Harry’s beloved grandmother.
The couple, who quit life as senior royals in 2020, welcomed their second child Princess Lilibet Diana into the world on June 4, 2021, at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
Despite the fact Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson said the late Queen, who met Lilibet just a few times, approved the couple’s request to use the name, it has been reported that Her Majesty in fact was not happy by the decision.

Prince William not afraid to show one thing
Prince William took royal fans by surprise yesterday as he issued a heartfelt public birthday message to his wife Princess Kate.
The Prince of Wales, 42, took to social media on Kate’s 43rd birthday with a black-and-white photograph of the princess in a casual jeans and shirt outfit.
However, the future King on Thursday did more than just wish his wife a happy birthday as he also addressed the tough year the family have faced with an emotional message.
Speaking on behalf of JeffBet, body language expert Darren Stanton said the statement also showed that William is not afraid to show his love for Kate.

Princess Kate's biggest royal fan
Princess Kate is one of the most popular members of the British Family, with the mum-of-three having thousands of fans across the world.
While members of the public seem to love the Princess of Wales, 43, it appears that she also has plenty of fans within her own family.
As well as being admired by husband Prince William, 42, and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, it seems one very senior member of the family is among Kate’s biggest fans.
Royal broadcaster and commentator Helena Chard told Fox News: “King Charles is extremely fond and proud of his daughter-in-law."

King Charles made decision that shocked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
King Charles reportedly left Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "shocked" by one key move he made years nearly three years after the couple quit life as senior royals.
The King, now 76, did not release a statement after Prince Harry’s controversial memoir Spare was released in 2023, but instead is believed to have decided to use a more private approach to make his feelings clear.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, writer Omid Scobie claimed the monarch did not read a page of the book but still was left angry by its content, which included criticism and allegations against members of the Royal Family - especially Queen Camilla and Prince William.
The King is believed to have requested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to vacate their UK royal residence Frogmore Cottage and remove their final possessions just days after the publication of Spare, on the basis that they were no longer senior working royals and hadn’t been living there for some time.

Reason King Charles will never abandon Prince Andrew
King Charles is said to be worried about Prince Andrew's mental health and will never completely abandon him, it has been claimed.
The 64-year-old disgraced royal is facing fresh scrutiny after his links with an alleged Chinese spy came to light earlier this month. He is now in deep water after it was revealed that he had set up a number of firms using the pseudonym six years ago.
As reported by the Mirror, critics have since accused him of adopting it in a bid to remain under the radar.
Speaking of Andrew, royal expert Jennie Bond said that the King is unlikely to ever completely distance himself from his younger brother due to fears over his mental state.

Prince George's daring hobby
Prince George may be second in line to the British throne but like many other children, he's got many hobbies, including football and triathlons.
The Prince and Princess of Wales's eldest child was even been spotted enjoying his first flight in front of his parents last September.
But there is another hobby George is keen on, which surely would make his mother proud as she enjoys it herself.
The Wales family are no strangers to scuba diving as both William and Kate have tried it before, with the heir to the throne being patron of Swim England since 2017.

Sarah Ferguson has shared her devastation in a heartbreaking statement following the horrific wildfires in California.
Speaking directly to the camera, the 65-year-old uploaded a video to her Instagram account on Thursday, January 9.

She continued: "My heart is so devastated by the fires in Southern California and Los Angeles. All the people who have been evacuated from their homes, they've lost their homes. The animals, the humane society, I am just so devastated. I just had to say something."

Meghan's 'star power' could make show a 'huge hit' - expert
Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan is set to air in just under a week’s time, with royal fans across the globe intrigued to see what the eight-episode series will bring.
The show, which has already gained some hype across the world, will air on January 15, with scenes set to show Meghan hosting and cooking for some of her nearest and dearest celebrity friends.
Nick Ede, Brand and Culture expert, exclusively told Express.co.uk that he thinks there are two reasons why the show will be a high flyer - Meghan’s “star power” and her social media presence.

Pippa and Kate's sweet nicknames
Princess Kate and Pippa Middleton may be one of the most famous sister duos in the world, however this wasn't always the case.
Instead, the siblings had a very ordinary childhood, with both of them attending St Andrew's School in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
The sisters reportedly had sweet nicknames during this time in their life, which they also used for their own gunia pigs.
During a visit to her old school in 2012, Kate asked students if they kept pets at school. She also revealed she used to have two guinea pigs with the same nicknames as herself and her sister.
As reported by The Mirror, she said: "There was one called Pip and one called Squeak, because my sister was called Pippa and I was Squeak."

The major secret that Prince William and Princess Kate kept from Prince George
Making a decision to keep his destiny a secret, the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly told their son, Prince George, what his future would entail during the summer of 2020.
It wasn't until the young prince, now the age of 11, was seven years of age that his parents went into more detail about George's future.Writing in the biography 'Battle of Brothers', royal expert and historian Robert Lacey explained: "William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son [George]. Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself."

King Charles's surprising response when asked if he wants to go for a beer with royal fan
King Charles may be one of the most famous royals in the world, however behind-closed-doors he is not too different from everyone else.
While the monarch, 76, has plenty of responsibilities to be taken seriously, it is believed that the King also has a very good sense of humour, giving him an ability to get on very well with members of the public when he meets them.
One of the best examples of this was a chat the King had with a man when he was the Prince of Wales. During a visit to Birmingham's Victoria Square after being at the Commonwealth Games in August 2022, Charles was asked by local man Daniel Walker if he was set to go out for a drink.
A video of the encounter showed Daniel shouting: "Charles, Charles, are you going to go for a beer?"
