MEGHAN MARKLE was warned she is carrying out her royal role "the wrong way" as former pal Lizzie Cundy claimed the Duchess of Sussex cannot have things both way.
Meghan Markle is 'doing things WRONG' says old friend
Meghan Markle has come under a barrage of criticism due to increasing demands for privacy for her and her family since marrying into the Royal Family in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex also faced criticism for guest-editing the September issue of Vogue magazine and featuring 16 "female trailblazers" on the cover – a move commentators branded as "political." Former pal Lizzie Cundy warned Meghan has been carrying out her royal role the "wrong way," going as far as to suggest the Queen would also criticise her for her behaviour.
Speaking to talkRADIO, Ms Cundy said: "Just because Meghan is a princess, she is married to Prince Harry – she has to take the criticism because things aren’t going right.
"I think if you even ask the Queen, she would say, ‘Meghan, you haven’t done things the right way'."
Commenting on revelations Meghan and Prince Harry boarded four private jets to Europe after discussing their concern over climate change, Ms Cundy claimed the pair acted "hypocritically."
She continued: "They have been hypocritical. I’m sorry, you can’t say, ‘we want to save the planet,’ and then take four private jets.

"You can’t do it that way, you can’t say, ‘we want £2.4 million for our cottage,’ and then say, ‘no, we want our christening private, you’re not seeing baby Archie.’
"I’m sorry, she’s doing things the wrong way. She edited Vogue and she didn’t visit President Trump - I think she’s done it the wrong way."
Buckingham Palace said they had nothing to comment on Ms Cundy's statement.
Prince Harry defended the decision to use private flights to travel to and from Ibiza after a short trip to mark Meghan's 38th birthday, arguing he wanted to make sure both the Duchess and their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, are safe during family trips.

Speaking at the launch of the couple's latest charity project, Travelist, the Duke of Sussex said: "I spend 99 percent of my life travelling the world by commercial.
"Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family are safe and it’s genuinely as simple as that.”
He added: "We can all do better and while no one is perfect, we all have a responsibility for our own individual impact.
"The question is what we do to balance it out.”
International superstar Elton John defended the couple, revealing he lent Meghan and Harry his private jet to visit him in Nice with their son Archie in August.

Following criticism over their flights' plans during the summer, Meghan travelled commercial last week when she took a last-minute flight to watch the US Open match between friend Serena Williams and Bianca Andrescu.
Before the match began Serena’s tennis coach was reportedly “worried” over the royal’s presence.
Ms William’s tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou allegedly feared the Duchess’s presence could be unlucky for Serena’s performance.
Members of Serena’s team were reportedly “concerned” and “superstitious” over Meghan’s presence, according to the New York Post’s celebrity site, Page Six.
A source said: "Serena asked her coach about Meghan coming when she won last night and everyone is worried, as tennis players are very superstitious, and Serena lost when Meghan came to watch her at Wimbledon.
“Williams’ coach Patrick keeps telling her, ‘Focus focus focus.’ The aim is getting her to win her 24th Grand Slam.”
Ms Williams ultimately lost to Ms Andrescu.
