Russian Spy attack: Amber Rudd will call Cobra crisis meeting
HOME Secretary Amber Rudd will call a meeting of the Cobra crisis committee today to examine new information in the nerve agent attack, a senior Government insider said tonight.

The Cabinet minister is to chair the gathering of intelligence and security chiefs, top civil servants and other ministers, expected to take place tomorrow afternoon.
Ms Rudd today visited the scene in Salisbury where former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter were found after being targeted in a chemical attack.
After meeting Wiltshire Police Temporary Chief Constable Kier Pritchard, Ms Rudd declined to reveal details about the substance, how it was deployed or any suspects behind the poisoning.

She said: “I understand people’s curiosity about wanting answers.
“But the best way to get them is to give the police the space they need to really go through the area carefully, to do their investigation.”
Prime Minister Theresa May was today drawing up a “full spectrum” of retaliatory measures against Russian President Vladimir Putin if Kremlin involvement in the attack is confirmed.
