George Soros-backed Remain campaign plans Glastonbury-style music festival to stop Brexit
A GEORGE SOROS-backed campaign to thwart Brexit is planning a Glastonbury-style rock concert as it enlists thousands of Remainers to increase pressure on the Government and attempt to overturn the EU referendum result.

This week, Boris Johnson called for people on both sides of the Brexit debate to come together and make a success, but his words have fallen on deaf ears.
The group, Best for Britain, is putting together a huge list of supporters who have helped rack up a £162,000 fighting fund using an online crowdfunder.
And a coordinator told Politico they were planning to take advantage of Glastonbury taking the year off to hold a huge musical event this summer.
With backing from a Remain-voting music promoter, they want a huge performance at a London location on the August bank holiday weekend.

Money raised form supporters will be used to campaign across the country, mount campaigns on social media and ramp up pressure on key politicians.
A mobile phone app of the kind that has helped Momentum become a powerful force in the Labour Party is also planned.
Business magnate Mr Soros has ploughed at least £500,000 into the fight already, pledging to match every donation of £100 or more to the crowdfunding.
Organisers say they have been bolstered by last year’s Tory rebellion which forced the Government into giving MPs a “meaningful vote” on the final Brexit deal.

Co-founded by Gina Miller before she left over claims it was undemocratic, the group now sees the vote on the deal as a key moment, either to force a fresh election or get a second referendum.
Meanwhile, a new youth group called Our Future, Our Choice, is mobilising students at 40 different universities to rally support.
Cambridge student Lara Spirit, who co-founded the group, told Politico: “Young people should be at the centre of this debate.
“They stand the most to lose, and yet they voted most decisively to stay.”
Speaking about his support for the campaign this month, Mr Soros said he had increased his donations following attacks on him in the press.

Boris Johnson called for Brexit unity this week
He said: “I am happy to take the fight to those who have tried to use a smear campaign, not arguments, to prop up their failing case.”
Best for Britain Chief Executive Eloise Todd insisted staying in the EU had to be an option.
She said: “We live in a democracy, and the right to freedom of speech is precious.
“Elements of the right-wing press don’t seem to agree.
“The UK’s future with the EU is not a done deal.
"There is still a vote to come and people across the country deserve to know the truth about the options on the table: one of which is staying and leading in the EU.”
