Revenge of the REMAINERS: Election results reveal London elites made Tories PAY for Brexit
THERESA May's Conservatives faced a devastating wipe out in London this morning as Remainers took revenge against the prime minister's 'hard' Brexit stance and turned red.
Labour have been victorious in London
Eurosceptics in London turned out in their forces to vote Labour in a bid to crush Mrs May's "strong and stable" election plans to take Britain out of the European Union (EU).
Labour took victory against Tory ministers Jane Ellison and Gavin Barwell to take Battersea and Croydon Central in the General Election 2017 results this morning.
The reds are also poised to clutch Kensington in a shock turnaround.
May faced a crushing defeat in London
While the Lib Dems reclaimed Twickenham and Kingston and Surbiton in west London as Sir Vince Cable and Sir Ed Davey claimed victory.
All of the changed seats heavily backed the campaign to Remain in the Brussels club during last year's momentous referendum.
Almost all London boroughs voted to remain in the EU - across all 33 boroughs, 59.9 per cent of voters voted to stay inside the bloc.

Labour's Jeremy Corbyn took votes in the capital as he managed to tap into the votes of young professionals and people from minority ethnic populations. While Theresa May was victorious in strong Leave seats showing her promises to deliver a hard Brexit worked.
Former chancellor George Osborne told ITV News: "If you start losing seats like this, like Battersea, then that is trouble. "As a seat won actually some time ago by the Conservatives… what are we doing losing Battersea?"
