How to follow the election results on TV
The General Election will also be extensively covered on terrestrial TV with all of the major news broadcasters.
Political journalist David Dimbleby will appear on the BBC tonight for his tenth election night coverage at 9.55pm.
He will be joined by Jeremy Vine, Emily Maitlis, Mishal Husain and professor John Curtice for live election analysis.
Sky News will also begin its coverage at 9pm with hosts Adam Boulton and Sophy Ridge.

Channel 4 with host an 'alternative' election night programme
The programme will also cut to Kay Burley in Theresa May’s constituency in Maidenhead and Colin Brazier in Jeremy Corbyn’s North London.
Tom Bradby will take over ITV’s coverage for a night of political analysis with former Conservative Chancellor George Osbourne and Labour MP Ed Balls
Comedian David Mitchell and interview “pitbull” Jeremy Paxman will finally go live on Channel Four at 11pm for an “alternative” news night.
The programme will feature a special edition go Gogglebox and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, in a humorous and tongue-in-cheek election coverage.
How to follow the election results on radio
Carolyn Quinn and James Naughtie and will spend the night in the BBC Radio Four studio to report on the key moments of the election between 10pm and 6am on Friday, June 9.
BBC Radio Five will also join in with Stephen Nolan in Salford and Emma Barnett in London at 9.55pm.
Between 10pm tonight and 5am tomorrow, you can catch Britain Decides with Iain Dale and Shelagh Fogarty on LBC Radio.
Talk Radio’s Julia Hartley-Brewer will also be on hand from 10pm to bring you the latest developments as the polls close.
