British ambassador's memo reveals UK plan to EXPLOIT Donald Trump’s inexperience
BRITAIN is well-placed to influence Donald Trump by exploiting his character and inexperience in office, a leaked memo from the British ambassador has suggested.

Sir Kim Darroch penned his message as it became clear the tycoon was heading for his shock presidential victory last week.
Britain’s ambassador to the United States claimed preparations in the build-up to the election had given the UK an advantage.

The President-elect is above all an outsider and unknown quantity
However, with some in Mr Trump’s team already said to be wary of the British government after criticism during his campaign by some of its members, suggestions the veteran businessman is naive and can be manipulated may raise hackles.
Sir Kim wrote: “The President-elect is above all an outsider and unknown quantity, whose campaign pronouncements may reveal his instincts, but will surely evolve and, particularly, be open to outside influence if pitched right.

“Having, we believe, built better relationships with his team than have the rest of Washington diplomatic corps, we should be well placed to do this.”
Downing Street declined to comment on leaked documents.
