Nigel Farage vows to tell Trump to make UK 'number one global priority' as he flies to US
NIGEL Farage today flew to the United States vowing to press Donald Trump to make the UK “his number one global priority”.

The UK Independence Party interim leader travelled for what is understood to be a private speaking engagement in Florida - a key state in Mr Trump’s shock election victory.
Mr Farage hopes while he in America to meet Mr Trump with whom he shared a stage during the presidential campaign and for whom he has indicated he would be pleased to work.
While the Ukip leader who has been dubbed “Mr Brexit” in the US stopped short of wholly endorsing the Republican during the presidential campaign, he also said he would not vote for Democrat rival Hillary Clinton “if you paid me”.
Mr Farage said Mr Trump’s affection for Britain boded well for future relations - as he put the boot into outgoing President Barack Obama.

Recalling Mr Obama’s warning during the EU referendum that Britain could not expect a quick trade deal with the US if it backed Brexit, Mr Farage told TalkRadio: “For us in the UK the opportunities are really clear.

“This is a big opportunity for all British business, because once we have left that awful EU thing, we can now do our first trade deal with the United States of America. Isn’t that great?”
If he meets Mr Trump this weekend he said he would be: “encouraging him to make the UK his number one global priority”.
Earlier, in his radio interview, Mr Farage raised eyebrows by joking about what might happen when Mr Trump meets Prime Minister Theresa May, following revelations of the President Elect’s past crude comments about “grabbing” women and the allegations against him of sexual assault.
