Tory MP rejects David Cameron's EU renegotiation as 'choreographed' and 'nonsense'
A LEADING Tory backbencher has said voters “won’t be fooled” by David Cameron’s renegotiation tactics ahead of the European Union referendum.
The backbencher criticised the PM's renegotiations
The Prime Minister is currently pushing for EU citizens moving to the UK to be blocked from receiving benefits for four years.
However, Shipley MP Philip Davies branded the renegotiations as “choreographed” and “nonsense” during a Westminster Hall debate.

He said: “Don’t treat us like fools, don’t pretend this is a meaningful renegotiation, the British public are not that stupid.”

He also criticised David Cameron for not claiming back the UK’s EU rebate, which was first negotiated by Margaret Thatcher back in 1984. Several senior Tories then called for Mr Cameron to join their campaign to leave the EU.
Polish-born Shrewsbury Tory MP Daniel Kawczynski said the Warsaw government’s inflexibility over Mr Cameron’s demands was “pushing” him to support an EU exit.

He said he was “disappointed” with the Polish government after all the UK had done for the country, including going into the Second World War to defend it from the Nazis, supporting Solidarity in the 1980s and helping to get it accepted in Nato and the EU.
The EU referendum is expected in July or September this year, and no later than the end of 2017.

Europe minister David Lidington denied that the negotiations have been choreographed.
He said the Prime Minister’s arguments were “not being met with an unreserved welcome”.
