Who will win?
While Mr Johnson still remains the favourite with bookmakers his lead was shaken after neighbours called the police to his home following a noisy row with his girlfriend at the weekend.
Bookies Betfair currently has Boris Johnson at 2/9 to win and Jeremy Hunt at 9/2.
Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “While Boris is still the odds-on favourite at 2/9, with Hunt at 9/2, there’s no doubt a weekend of controversy is starting to have an impact on his odds.”
“When they were confirmed as the final two on Thursday night Boris was at odds of 1/10 on Betfair Exchange, but those odds then went out to 1/3 on Saturday as news broke about the incident on Friday morning with his partner. His refusal to take place in the Sky debate tomorrow doesn’t appear to be doing him any favours and what looked like a one-horse race could develop into a proper competition for punters if controversy continues to plague him through the contest.”
