Brexit Party REVOLUTION: Demands for 'SIGNIFICANT ROLE' in exit talks - 1000s more sign up
NIGEL Farage's Brexit Party is to demand a "significant role" in EU exit talks as the group is poised for an election shock later this month.
Brexit: Conservative could lose MILLIONS of voters warns Farage
Brexit Party chairman Richard Tice announced the growing party will demand to be included in the negotiating team discussing the UK's withdrawal from the European Union if it wins the EU elections. Opening a Brexit Party press conference, Mr Tice revealed thousands more people have signed up overnight, bringing the total figure to 88,000 members ahead of the EU elections, taking place on May 23.
Mr Tice said: “A vote for the Brexit Party is a vote for a WTO Brexit, it is also a vote for our elected MEPs to play a significant role in the negotiation process."
He added many Brexit Party's MEP candidates have significant experience of negotiation and should take over the people currently involved in talks, as they "have failed".
And in another shock, Mr Farage, who also took part in the conference, said he is in talks with Tory donors to fund the Brexit Party's general election campaign.

The party has so far received £2m in donations, mostly from small donors beside a big £100,000 donation, the party leader said.
But he suggested more funds may be arriving from previous supporters of the Conservative Party.
He claimed formerly loyal Tory donors were "asking themselves the question 'what is the Conservative Party for, what purpose does it actually serve?"'.
Mr Farage also explained his party won't be publishing policies until after the European elections are over.
But the Brexit Party is not only focused on the upcoming EU elections, Mr Farage said, revealing he is beginning the process of recruiting 605 candidates to contest a general election.
One of the latest former Tory supporters to join the Brexit Party, Annunziata Rees-Mogg, is planning on fighting for the Peterborough seat vacated by former Labour MP Fiona Onasanya.
Ms Rees-Mogg, sister of Conservative backbencher Jacob, defected from the Conservative Party last week.
During the press conference, Mr Farage was also asked to comment on his participation in Alex Jones's programme.
Mr Farage has been a guest for six times of Mr Jones's programme, Infowars, where the US presenter often discusses conspiracy theories.
Mr Farage said today that his decision to take part in the programme doesn't equal backing Mr Jones's editorial line.
The eurosceptic party looks set for a big gain in the EU elections, with the latest YouGov EU elections poll putting the Brexit Party at 30 percent of the UK vote.
This represents a two percent growth in just one week.
Labour came in second at 21 percent, with the Tories trailing behind with a dismal 13 percent, the survey showed.
The latest YouGov poll analysed the voting intentions of 1,630 UK adults from April 29 to April 30.
