Brexit minister: Theresa May's deal has 'good shot' of winning
Will Theresa May survive as Prime Minister in 2019?
Mrs May could be forced out if 48 MPs demand her exit in protest to her withdrawal deal.
This would result in a leadership campaign and a new Prime Minister of the UK.
Mrs May could also lose a vote of confidence in the Commons, which would topple the Government.
If a new Government cannot be formed with the support of the Commons within 14 days, another General Election could be called.
This would be triggered under the terms of the Fixed Term Parliaments Act 2011.
In an extreme circumstance, the Queen could ask the Labour leader to form a minority government instead.
But this would be difficult due to the numbers in the Commons.
Who could be the next Prime Minister after May?
Ladbrokes have predicted who could take over Theresa May if she is forced out.
Former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has odds of 8/1 following his repeated public bashing of Mrs May’s plans.
Jacob Rees-Mogg has been a leading Brexiteer on the backbencher, so could be in with a chance at 12/1.
Sajid Javid, who was made Home Secretary after Amber Rudd resigned, is at 10/1.
He has backed a harder Brexit recently, despite voting remain in the EU referendum.
Dominic Raab also at 10/1, even though he quit the cabinet when the Brexit draft deal was announced after playing a big part in the Leave campaign.
